We're Looking All Wright! Darlo Boss Excited For Future

Tommy Wright believes Darlington have shown they have “a great chance” in the National League North next season.

Darlo are set for a comfortable mid-table finish with their relegation worries well and truly behind them.

Fan favourite Wright has overseen a big upturn in results and the Quakers have now lost just three times in 16 games.

There is plenty of positivity around the club, both on and off the pitch, and Wright is looking forward to next season.

“The team has a lot of potential,” Wright told the club’s YouTube channel. “Everything on and off the pitch at the minute is positive.

“We’ve from strength to strength and it’s put a few smiles back on faces. If the boys can recreate the form we’ve shown, there’s no reason we can’t step it up next year.

“I genuinely believe that the group we have has another gear or two to offer. If we can keep the squad together, and add one or two in the summer, we’ve got a great chance.”

The Darlo fans have also done their part. The club’s ‘Boost The Budget’ campaign has now passed the £60,000 mark.

Wright added: “I can’t thank the fans enough for raising the money. I want to give them something back and we’ll be working really hard to bring in a fresh face or two.”
