'We're Going To Take Some Stopping' Says Hat-Trick Hero Redshaw

Locked in a stalemate with Kidderminster Harriers at half-time, Salford were dealt a blow as striker Anthony Dudley had to make way due to injury, but little did they know what his replacement Redshaw would do minutes later.

The 26-year-old struck twice within six minutes of the second half starting, his first coming with his first touch and then made sure to wrap up his hat-trick and the points late on.

Following an opening day defeat to Darlington, Salford are now in their stride and sit fourth in the early National League North table.

"The manager said I wasn't fit enough to start the game and that I would play a part," Redshaw told the club's website. "Unfortunately for Duds he came off with a hamstring injury at half-time so it gave me the chance to play 45 minutes, and I took my chances well.

"It was a great setup by the lads. It's a team game, I needed them to put the ball in the box and for me to put them away.

"It's been a bit frustrating at the start of the season - I've struggled with a little injury but I'm back now.

"That's four consecutive wins and we've only conceded once in those. We're looking a good, solid squad and I think we're going to take some stopping."
