Wembley Awaits For Harrogate Town And Notts County

Notts County and Harrogate Town will battle it out for a place in the EFL after both made home advantage count.

Harrogate have never been in the 92 while Notts are looking to return after one season away - they meet next Sunday at Wembley in the winner takes all Promotion Final.

County made their way to the capital with a comprehensive 2-0 victory over Barnet.

A second-half beauty from Cal Roberts made the game safe after Kristian Dennis nodded home Jim O'Brien's perfect ball.

Neal Ardley said his players were “excellent” in the way they handled the semi-final.

The team who finished second will meet the side who ended in third after Harrogate bettered Boreham Wood.

It ended 1-0 in the earlier kick-off in Yorkshire

Jack Muldoon was perfectly positioned to get on the end of Will Smith's header and direct in with 25 minutes to play.

Manager Simon Weaver hasn’t been to the National Stadium in 27 years - and he can’t wait to go back in eight days’ time.

"The last time I went to Wembley was in 1993 supporting Sheffield Wednesday!” he told BT Sport.

“We are one game away from being the smallest club in the Football League.

“To welcome the fans in October back in October or whatever it is with games against clubs like Bolton Wanderers would be incredible.”
