Welling Boss Coyle Sees Green Shoots Of Recovery

Welling United's manager Jamie Coyle has told his players to keep the faith as their search their first win of the season goes on.

Although the Wings brought to an end two defeats, the manner of their defending at home to Bognor Regis annoyed the player-boss.

The 3-3 draw was great for the neutrals but not for the Welling manager.

But he was pleased with the chances the team created at Park View Road - if not the way they performed at the other end.

Doyle said: "Defensively we we're appalling, Sunday League really.

It's not rocket science here, you watch some of the goals back and it's embarrassing

"You shouldn't have to score four goals at home to win a game of football but there were positives to take away from the afternoon.

"We have created enough chances to win three of four matches!

"My worry in pre season was that we weren't creating enough but we looked a real threat so I'm happy with that past of the day.

"We maybe could have had a couple of penalties, we have had two cleared off the line but I have told the boys to keep believing.

"It's the way things are going for us but we have got to keep going," the manager told Wings TV.
