Welcome Back! Grant Holt Returns To Barrow

By Sam Elliott

Former Norwich City striker Grant Holt will be the new player-coach at Vanarama National League Barrow.

Holt has left King’s Lynn Town after a short spell with the Southern League side to join the club, Lynn have announced.

He will play in the top flight of Non-League football for Barrow again, playing two years of his early career at Holker Street from 2001 to 2003.

The Bluebirds need his firepower and new manager Ady Pennock has worked hard to bring him to the north west.

Holt is 36 now but has already shone for Lynn in the small amount of games he has played in.

Barrow, who weren’t in action this afternoon, won in Pennock’s first game in charge last Saturday, a 3-1 win over Aldershot.

Their next game in also at home, they welcome Macclesfield on November 11.
