Weaver Doesn’t Want Harrogate To Look Back Now

Simon Weaver challenged Harrogate Town to go on a good National League run after ending a bad one.

His side convincingly beat Hartlepool United 3-1 in front of the BT Sport cameras.

It was a conclusive victory which was much needed as they look to get their push for promotion back on track.

They hadn’t won since early December and Weaver said the three points were just what the doctor ordered.

“It was a really good and really important win for us,” the manager said after their excellent attacking display.

“We haven’t won in the league for a while and it was really important we put that right as quickly as possible.

“We’ve never lost confidence but now we want to get on a winning run and see just how far up the table we can climb over the next few weeks.”

The manager added: “Having the cameras here only added to the occasion and the crowd were fantastic.

“We wanted to control the game and we did that against a big club. We’ve got to be happy.”
