Weaver Calls For His Harrogate Side To Do It All Again

Harrogate Town boss Simon Weaver says his side know they have what it takes to gain promotion to the Vanarama National League.

After narrowly missing out on top spot, they now face Chorley at home on Sunday, in the play-off semi-final, writes Tom Feaheny.

"Obviously we can be proud of what we have done so far, the quality out there means it will be a tough task, but I have the confidence that we can do it," Weaver said.

"We know about the depth of the squad that we have, that could be crucial with the two games coming up.

"If you had told us at the start of the season, we'd be here, I would have taken it that's for sure."

Now with the side potentially two home matches from promotion, Weaver says the squad know what is at stake.

"It has been a great journey so far, one we want to continue and that is the aim to have the promotion final at the CNG in just over a weeks time.

"The fans, players, backroom staff, everyone has done there bit getting us here, now we have to get the job done."
