We Can't Be Known As A Second Half Team Says Vermiglio

Jamie Vermiglio doesn’t want Chorley to become known as a second-half team.

A four-goal blitz after the break put Altrincham to the sword on Saturday.

The manager could have few complaints about the 4-1 win but he did pick up one thing.

The National League North table toppers are showing no signs of wilting under the pressure but Vermiglio thinks they can do one thing to help themselves.

“It was clearly a great result and really good performance,” he said.

“We played a good team who are having a great season and we did it after coming from behind which shows spirit.

“But we’re making a bit of a habit of starting sluggishly.

“We do keep letting sides in and we seem to have to wait until the second half to get ourselves going.

“We want to be able to play like that in both halves and that’s really something we need to work on.”
