We Can Get Even Better Says Moors Boss Flowers

Tim Flowers thinks his Solihull Moors team have even more to give despite the club winning both of their opening games of the new season, writes Tom Scott.

The Moors have carried their magnificent pre-season form into the new campaign and speaking to the club’s official website after their recent 1-0 triumph over Maidenhead, Flowers said he was happy with his side but believes they can get even better in time.

“I thought we were a level above our performance at Eastleigh, if I’m honest,” he said. "We could’ve scored more goals if we’d been a little bit more ruthless.

“We carved out one or two decent opportunities. Maidenhead paid us the complement of matching us up and if you’d asked me at kick off a few days ago that we’d have took six points from six I’d have snatched your hand off.

“For the first couple of games, they’ve been magnificent. Clearly the fitness levels are there, they’re going till the end.

“Can we play better? Yes, but hopefully that will come down the line,” he added.

Solihull Moors will look to make it three from three against Aldershot on Saturday.

Where next?
