We Can Achieve Something Special - Durrell

Elliott Durrell is loving life at Macclesfield Town and after his stunning goal helped the Silkmen stay within touching distance of the top, he believes they can have success this season.

After back-to-back defeats in the National League, Macclesfield bounced back to win 2-0 at Barrow - watch match highlights here.

Jared Hodgkiss put the visitors ahead in the first-half and then Durrell's screamer after the hour gave John Askey's team the perfect away day.

"We've been on a bit of an unfortunate run where I don't quite think the results have been going as the performances have warranted," he told the club's website. "But this result justifies that.

"We're delighted with the win and it's another three points.

"It's always nice to get a goal, I had a bit of a sighter in the first-half where the centre-half got his head on it because I think that was going in the same place as well.

"I've been made to feel welcome straight away. I haven't enjoyed my football like this for along time - it comes with winning games. We've got a great set of lads and staff. I believe that we can achieve something special this year."
