Watson Sees Positives From 0-0 Draw

Gateshead boss Steve Watson believes the draw against top side Dover Athletic is something they can use to build on.

It was a game played in testing conditions as the Heed looked to get a win against the top side in the Vanarama National League at the moment, but the deadlock was not broken, writes Tom Feaheny.

"I think we had the better chances, we tried to get through them, we just didn't get it on target enough, we had some good opportunities in the first-half," Watson told the club's website.

"We just had to be a bit more clinical, we are slightly disappointed but it is a good point against the top side, we put in a real effort."

"We stayed solid and played football when we could, I think if we keep going we will be able to turn this 0-0 into a game where we can get a goal going forward."
