Warren Wants To Lead Terras Return As Relegation Looms

Warren Feeney wants to be the man to lead Weymouth back to the National League South with relegation looming large.

The Terras 13 points from safety with six games to go and could be put out of their misery this weekend.

Their Southern League return will be sealed if they fail to win at home to Slough Town and other results go against them.

Feeney is already planning for next season with Weymouth’s fate all-but sealed.

“It's a good club and I am really enjoying it,” said the ex- Northern Ireland international, who was appointed in December.

“We've had discussions already of what we need to do and how we want to go forward."

A return to the division they won in 2018–19 now looks a near certainty.

Speaking of what’s ahead, he added: "I said to a couple of the boys it will be the hardest pre-season they have done in their lives.

"I wasn't a great player but I relied on my fitness and I'm a great believer if you don't get players fit, it comes to bite you later on in the season. It will be tough but they will enjoy it."
