Wanderers Help To Honour Memory Of Wanted Star Tom

Dorking Wanderers have stepped in to host a special game celebrating the life of The Wanted's Tom Parker.

The tragic singer died two years ago from a brain tumour aged just 32.

His wife Kelsey has focused a lot of her energy into organising an annual celebrity football event which takes place on Father's Day.

The match, to be held on June 16 aims to raise money and awareness for the Ahead of The Game brain tumour charity and to remember the much-loved dad.

Bromley got things off the ground last year and raise £30,000 but due to their promotion to the EFL, pitch work means a return to Hayes Lane this summer was not possible.

Dorking and more than happy to help and Meadowbank will throw open their doors next Sunday.

Kelsey said: "It's a day to celebrate Tom and all of the other dads who are no longer with us.

"It’s also so important for my own two children to have a Father’s Day in aid of their dad Tom and we can’t thank Dorking Wanderers for stepping in last minute to host us."
