He told us: “Cancer has had an impact on my family and quite a lot of my friends so this is something I knew I had to do.
“It’s an illness that doesn’t discriminate and can literally get anyone - I just want to try and make a difference where I can and help find some live-saving research.
“If it helps someone suffering somewhere, then fantastic. I like to push myself fitness wise, and did four mile every 48 hours for the Dave Boggins run a few years ago.
“It's two miles a day every day in March and I'm looking forward to getting the trainers on. It was be brilliant to raise some money and of course some awareness in the process.”
