A 3-1 home defeat to Eastleigh left the club deep in the mire.
The Shots haven’t won since the first week of November - and are now five points from safety.
Their error-filled home loss to the Spitfires added to their problems but Waddock says they must some resolve from somewhere before it’s too late.
“We’re making mistakes in both boxes,” the manager said.
“It just can’t continue. We weren’t bad between those boxes but errors at both ends have cost us.
“It was similar to the Chesterfield game when we didn’t play badly but we switched off.
“We dominated the game but if you don’t take your chances you get punished.
“We are where we are, there’s no getting away from that.
“Now we have got to stay strong, be mentally strong, and try and find a win from somewhere.”
