Waddock's men have picked up just two wins since November and are staring relegation in the face with little over a month of the season remaining.
The Shots currently sit ten points clear of safety after defeat to Barnet on Tuesday night, their fifth in six games.
And although Waddock believes their job is being made harder each week, it's not mission impossible just yet.
"It’s getting tough," he told the club's video service.
"The task is getting tougher and this next batch of games, we’ve just got to try and get as many points as we can, and that’s where we are, I’m afraid.
"There is fight in the team, it’s quite clear. It’s not a case of the players downing tools, they’ve been very good on the training ground working extremely hard.
"But in the last few games we’ve not got the points return we deserve. The players have been bang on it but we haven’t got the points we should have picked up."
AFC Fylde are next up for Aldershot at the EBB and Waddock knows his side has what it takes to spring a shock on the high-flying Coasters.
He said: "We’ve seen the way the players have reacted with a defeat and they’ve come out and shown what they’re about and we’ll do that again on Saturday, we have to, simple as that."
