Vose Finds Fuel To Stop Chester From Stalling Again

By Sam Elliott

He’s playing for the petrol money to get to training and to games but Dom Vose could well have just got Chester’s recovery out of first gear.

The attacker jump-started the Blues season with a fantastic and creative display as the strugglers beat Eastleigh 3-1 on Saturday.

Vose is being paid only expenses because of the club’s situation, and it seems he is useful on and off the pitch.

Marcus Bignot, the club’s manager, wouldn’t get carried away with the result with the side now five points from safety.

But he was happy to shower his new signing with praise after agreeing to really help their cause.

“I've worked with Dom and he has that ability where it's carnage all around but you can give him the ball and he slows it all down,” Bignot told the Chester Standard.

“He's got that composure and ability and it's Football League ability.

“For the third goal he was absolutely superb. I told you he was a match-winner and he's got that ability and when you are down there you need that type of player.

“He was worth every penny we pay him!”

Chester could put the car amongst the pigeons if they can win at home to Leyton Orient on Tuesday night.
