Villa Send Kinsella to Kiddy

Vanarama National League club Kidderminster Harriers have added another defensive option to their ranks with the loan signing of Lewis Kinsella from Barclays Premier League side Aston Villa.

The 21-year-old has penned terms for a one-month stay at Aggborough.

Most comfortable at left-back, Kinsella began his youth career with Arsenal before arriving in the Midlands with Villa at 16.

Since then he’s shone at youth and Academy ranks and as a regular in the under-21s. He’s featured in the first-team squad as an unused substitute in the Premier League on several occasions and also played against Harriers in the training ground friendly earlier this campaign.

Caretaker boss Colin Gordon said of his new arrival: “It’s the area of the squad we haven’t got cover for and we need strength in numbers, certainly with the number of games we’ve got.

“I have seen him four times this season and I know all about him – he has got a lot of ability.”
