Vanarama National League to monetize digital growth with Horizm

By Oliver Osborn

The Vanarama National League is delighted to announce the signing of an agreement with digital inventory management specialists Horizm.

This will see the League and all the 66 members clubs benefit from Horizm’s complete digital toolkit, including Horizm Marketplace.

The clubs of the league’s three divisions – Vanarama League, Vanarama League North and Vanarama League South - are an important part of the UK football pyramid and provide a mix of heritage, success and celebrity. Each club has a unique story to tell and a fanbase that is loyal, highly engaged and rooted in their local communities. Collectively on social media, this equates to over 3m followers – a huge opportunity that the league will now be working with Horizm to help take advantage of.

Under this new agreement, the league and its clubs will have access to Horizm’s AI powered toolkit giving them a better understanding of the real time value their digital content is providing and the opportunity to better monetize it through Horizm Marketplace, the groundbreaking digital asset platform, that allows brands to target sports fans through digital content partnerships.

Commenting on the new agreement, Shahid Azeem, Chair of the Commercial Committee at the Vanarama National League said: “Our clubs have deep-seated ties to communities covering the length and breadth of the country and the current visibility being afforded to the whole league means there is huge potential for their fanbases to grow.

"The league has long recognised the importance of digital in engaging these different fanbases – the audience of our top division has grown 30% since 2019 - and this new collaboration with Horizm will give us the tools to maximise the commercial potential of our digital growth.”

Sam Grimley, Head of Commercial at Horizm, added: “I am hugely proud to be announcing this agreement with The Vanarama National League, our first league-wide partnership.

"The scale and passion of their combined digital audience is a massive opportunity for them as it offers brands a highly engaged route to UK sports fans. I am really looking forward to working with everyone involved at the league to help them realise their digital potential”

The Vanarama National League joins Horizm’s growing roster of football clients that includes National Federations, tournaments and a mix of leading European and South American clubs.
