Chester vs Boston United - National League North
Boston United’s supporters know they probably should be watching their team at home to Shrewsbury Town this weekend, as should hundreds of thousands of others.
With it sure to be live on TV, the club’s board know a welcome £100,000 FA Cup boost would surely have been heading their way. Now those fans are all wondering if, in fact, that horrible night at Stratford Town could re-shape their whole season.
The Pilgrims have now beaten AFC Telford, Blyth Spartans, York City and Hereford back-to-back and used the unwanted upset to inspire them.
With a game in hand, they could be knocking on leaders’ AFC Fylde’s door come 5pm Saturday. But a trip to Chester is rarely easy, despite a season which promised so much so far failing to catch fire.
In the National League North, they are good at home. Really good in fact, winning their last four in front of their fans. Joint managers Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley are reading nothing into their inconsistency just yet.
One to watch: Anthony Dudley (Chester)

Eastbourne Borough v Chelmsford City - National League South
Both teams need to use this quiet weekend to get the sounding pumping on their season.
Eastbourne Borough have shown their class in patches this season - putting five past Billericay and then shoving six in Braintree’s net. It shows there is genuine talent there.
But now they need a reaction after three straight defeats which have taken the shine off some of their early results.
It’s clear where the issues are. Danny Bloor’s Sports have scored 26 - but also condeded 25.
Chelmsford have half of Eastbourne’s goals to their name and have yet to really get going.
Ten points from 11 games is now how the Clarets wanted to go into November and they remain too close for comfort to the bottom of the table, despite a good point against leader Dartford recently.
City haven’t won since mid-September but have a month of winnable games, with Hemel Hempstead Town and Tonbridge Angels to come.
One to watch: Chris Whelpdale (Eastbourne Borough)
