By the end of the Bank Holiday weekend, most clubs will have played four times.
The excitement for some really begins to build, and at the other end alarm bells start to ring.
Every week, new betting partner Unibet will run the rule over the main matches in the two divisions.
All your odds across the Vanarama National League are available at Unibet.
Here’s what we’ve got to look forward to in part one of our bumper weekend in the two divisions.
Dulwich Hamlet v Dartford - Vanarama National League South
When you employ Steve King you know you are getting one thing - a push for promotion.
And his stats are so good that in the past 12 season, there was only one campaign that didn’t deliver a battle at the business end of the table.
Already, his Dartford side are looking the part. A win on day one at St Albans City was followed up by a simple 3-0 success over Slough Town.
Six goals so far tells its own story and fans think things could only just be getting started as a few of their rivals leave the starting blocks early.
But beware - Dulwich Hamlet enjoy throwing a spanner in the works! A big crowd is expected, with just short of 2,000 watching the Londoners’ only game so far, the 1-1 draw at home to Chippenham.
The sides didn’t meet last season and they will both be determined to come out on top when rivalries resume at Champion Hill this weekend.
One to watch: Danny Mills (Dulwich Hamlet)
Unibet’s top tip: Total goals over 2.5

Southport v Kidderminster - Vanarama National League North
Russ Penn couldn’t have asked for more of a perfect start to the new campaign for his Kidderminster side.
A gritty and resilient win away to title favourites York City was followed up by a second half blitz over Blyth Spartans.
But like all managers he is keen to keep his table toppers on their toes - he doesn’t feel they’re playing a full pelt quite yet.
One thing is almost certain, and that’s goals at Southport on Saturday.
Liam Watson’s team have played twice and those games have seen to net bulge nine times.
Harriers won’t have it all their own way on Merseyside, Port holding Gloucester - the team who ended last season on top before the curtailment - to a thrilling 2-2 draw on matchday one.
These two teams just don’t do boring, and it could be the game to keep a close eye on.
One to watch: Sam Austin (Kidderminster Harriers)
Unibet’s top tip: Total goals over 4.5
