Unibet's Vanarama National League Matchday 7 Preview

By Sam Elliott

September starts with a cracking fixture list but will we continue to see new leaders after every game?

It’s another extended weekend - there’s a BT Sport offering on Sunday too as strong starters Wealdstone and Woking look to build on a profitable first four weeks.

There’s plenty of big games to sample on Saturday, and here’s a little look at the stand out matches.

All your odds across the Vanarama National League are available at Unibet. 18+ begambleaware.org

Oldham Athletic vs Chesterfield

The current holders of the National League leadership don’t plan on letting go of their grip.

Chesterfield are top after Monday’s turn around at Oldham - but have a couple of injury headaches ahead of their visit to Boundary Park but after keeping Kabongo Tshimanga on deadline day their supporters travel in high spirits.

Latics fans would have wanted to be higher than 15th but won’t be overly frustrated by their start.

They’ve won two of their three home games so far and another big crowd will be right behind their team against the side sitting top.

Unibet enhanced odds: Both teams to score

Dagenham & Redbridge vs Notts County

Only two teams remain unbeaten - and Notts County are one of them.

After three straight draws, they’re upwardly mobile following very impressive wins over FC Halifax Town and promotion rivals Solihull Moors.

Luke Williams’ only criticism is that his team really should be scoring more - despite a 13 goal start.

Dagenham have already shown that they may be relying on their home form to put pressure on the top seven.

Two wins and a comeback draw in East London have given their season some life after difficulties away but their last result will serve as a warning to Notts - fans hope the 4-1 thrashing of Bromley acts as rocket fuel.

Dorking Wanderers vs Wrexham

Even when beating Gateshead on Tuesday night there were murmurs of discontent in the Racecourse crowd.

It demonstrated how desperate the fans are to get the job done this season.

They ultimately triumphed 3-1, rising to second, and on Saturday they go hunting for their fourth win in a row.

But you get the feeling Dorking Wanderers will dine out on facing the big boys this season.

They have already bitten Chesterfield with manager and owner Marc White making it clear his team are here to get under people’s skins.

They will need to be better in this game than they have been in their last two outings, mind you.

Swept aside by Solihull Moors, Boreham Wood then hit them for four on their own patch on Bank Holiday Monday..

We’re all set for another dramatic couple of days!

Unibet enhanced odds: Match to end as a draw
