There’s also the little matter of not ending the year inside a bottom four currently littered with clubs who really shouldn’t be there.
The cold is here and that only means one thing - the temperature has really cranked up! Here’s Unibet’s picks for the weekend.

Maidenhead vs Notts County
Notts County have been Christmas shopping - John Bostock is a Magpie ahead of their trip to Maidenhead, a player who once turned down a ten-year deal at Barcelona!
While at Crystal Palace as a 14-year-old, he caught the attention of the giants who even sent him a signed Ronaldinho poster in a bid to convince him to move to Spain
But he turned them down because his parents wanted him to continue his development in London - and now his next mission is Nottingham, and to send County up.
He’ll have a job getting in the team with the leaders 12 National League games unbeaten. Maidenhead blow hot and cold but have won five at home already.
One to watch: Macaulay Langstaff (Notts County)

Eastleigh vs Wrexham
As Wrexham try to prove they’ve got what it takes away from home, a trip to Eastleigh is the last thing they need.
The Spitfires are the best of the rest on their own turf, behind only the Dragons who have won every time at the Racecourse.
It’s an impressive eight wins at the Silverlake for Lee Bradbury’s side with only table topping Notts County leaving with three points this term.
Wrexham have won just four of their 11 away games this season and it’s leaving fans a little twitchy.
Not manager Phil Parkinson, who says it’s impossible to replicate their faultless home form on the road. He’s not unduly worried by their record but says he knows they need more wins on their travels.
One to watch: Tristan Abrahams (Eastleigh)

Woking vs York City
This is arguably the best period to be a Woking supporter that many of the club’s fan-base can remember.
Third and firing, these are times to remember - but Darren Sarll isn’t interested in the romantic side of it all.
Their eight-match unbeaten stretch has gathered six wins and only the top two have beaten them at home.
York City announced new manager David Webb last Friday.
He didn’t take charge on Saturday in the draw with Wrexham and it’s reported Michael Morton will take the team in Surrey.
Morton joined City as Webb’s assistant manager, having departed his position from the academy at Premier League outfit Leeds United.
As good as York were in the BT Sport game, they’ll need another show of strength down south.
They are now nine without a win but Manny Duku’s goal against Wrexham certainly gave the club a huge lift.
What a weekend it’s going to be!
One to watch: Rhys Browne (Woking)
