Unibet's Vanarama National League Matchday 12 Preview

By Sam Elliott

There’s another full fixture card on Tuesday night - did someone order the biggest game of the season so far?

Yes, there’s little doubt the size of the first vs second clash coming your way in midweek, even in the first few days of October.

But it’s not just Notts County vs Wrexham we have to look forward to, needless to say and there’s some other big ones on the way as well. Here’s our three not-to-be-missed matches.

Boreham Wood vs Bromley

Andy Woodman can’t be unhappy with his team right now, but he knows the marks on bodies will still be there this morning.

Bromley will have been kicking themselves for not seeing off Solihull Moors. A player and two goals to the good going into injury time, they inexplicably threw the three points away.

A trip to a Boreham Wood side beaming after their live BT Sport performance on Saturday isn’t what they need to recover from what the Kent club pray isn’t a physiological set-back.

Luke Garrard’s team sit one place above them in fourth and they haven’t lost since mid-August.

Chesterfield vs Dagenham & Redbridge

How these two need to right the wrongs of Saturday on Tuesday night.

Chesterfield supporters still don’t know how their team lost their unbeaten run to a Maidenhead United who had been defeated in every away game so far.

But the Dagenham die hards have no idea what’s going to happen one week to the next.

In their last four games, they have scored five in one and four in another.

But in the other two they have also let in five and four in the other! Confused? Imagine how the fans feel. It all depends on which Daggers side turn up at the Technique Stadium.

Notts County vs Wrexham

Forget the Champions League, there’s no bigger game going on anywhere tonight.

Second place Notts County host the new leaders Wrexham - so sit back, and get the popcorn at the ready.

Not only are these two leading the way, but they are the top scorers in the division as well.

The hosts have scored 27 already with the table toppers finding the net four more times - not too shabby 11 games in. Macaulay Langstaff vs Paul Mullin? Well, the support act ain’t too bad either.

Phil Parkinson’s team are starting to show why they were so well backed this summer.

Seven wins from eight, with the latest coming at Oldham last on on Saturday, has seen the club rise to first place. Many wonder if they will now stay there.

Luke Williams’ team will have something to say about that, of course.

Three Meadow Lane points is enough to see them go top for the first time this term - and remember, County have scored in every home league game for a year and a half.

What a night it promises to be!
