Chippenham Town vs Concord Rangers - National League South

Relegation six-pointers are always a guilty pleasure in the final few months of any season.

Chippenham Town fans who don’t study the table on a daily basis could be forgiven for not thinking they’re actually embedded in the struggle.

They’ve drawn their last five and pushed promotion chasers all the way but the fact they are without a home win since September paints a clear picture.

They are in a dog-fight, but currently Concord Rangers have even bigger issues. Their battering from relegation rivals Weymouth was a shock to the system, and it leaves the Beach Boys bottom and in need of a big hit.

Blyth Spartans vs AFC Fylde - National League North

Boring, boring Blyth Spartans? Bouncing and buoyant more like!

In the middle of February, they had just 27 points on the board and were staring relegation in the face.

Then they rolled up their sleeves and three workmanlike 1-0 wins later, they’ve nearly added double figures, they’re out of the drop zone and haven’t let in a goal for weeks.

It’s never a good time to face the leaders when you’re down the bottom, but this could be as close as it gets.

Though AFC Fylde moved two points clear at the top of the table on Tuesday night.

The Coasters got the better of in-form Farsley Celtic and second place King’s Lynn Town couldn’t defeat Buxton at the Walks.

It’s still too early to call it a two-horse race, especially with Chester suddenly starting to look the part and Brackley, Scarborough and Darlington still lurking.

Fylde now begin a challenging run of five away games in their next six - not that results on the road have been a problem, of course.

They’ve won seven of their last eight games on their travels, but know this weekend presents a unique challenge.

It’s going to be another intriguing and action packed Saturday!
