Dartford vs Ebbsfleet United - National League South
All of a sudden once relentless Ebbsfleet United have a Dartford-sized problem to contend with.
Just a few weeks after putting themselves in a position of real power with a 6-0 win at Worthing, the wheels may not quite be coming off but they’re starting to make that uncomfortable creaking noise after a loss of control.
Their service is due and it’s taking place at Princes Park, days after the Darts destroyed the leaders on their own turf inflicting a third defeat in a row.
Alan Dowson’s team have taken off the handbrake at the perfect time and will go six points clear if they grab a ninth home win from ten on New Year’s Day.

Banbury United vs Brackley Town - National League North
It’s not over-selling it to say the National League North is the country’s most gripping title race.
Just three points separate the top five and things are so tight that even the teams sitting outside the play-off spots will be thinking ‘why not’!
Any one of Darlington, Brackley, Scarborough, King’s Lynn Town or Chester could be heading the table to come 5pm on New Year’s Day.
And with Scarborough and Darlington meeting, second place Brackley know they must take advantage.
But not many clubs have had a better calendar year than Banbury United.
After all, they wracked up 102 points last season and the first half of this campaign has already brought 10 wins which sees the Puritans in the play-offs.
They’re really strong at home, losing just once so far while the Saints may have only won one of their last five away, they’ve not lost on their travels since September.
What an opening to 2023 it’s going to be!
