By Sam Elliott

The FA Cup may have been taking centre stage lately but there’s nothing like a top two shoot-out to welcome back the National League action!

There’s no bigger game anywhere than King’s Lynn Town vs Darlington on Saturday - and it’s not the only eye-catching match up across the divisions.

League tables are starting to take shape and here’s Unibet’s take on what’s on offer on Saturday.

Ebbsfleet United vs Welling United - National League South

An all-Kent offering is sure to bring the fans out - as will both clubs’ push for promotion.

An incredible 12 wins from 13 National League South and FA Cup games has left unbeaten Ebbsfleet United fans searching the history books to find out when they last started this well.

Welling were given a reality check by St Albans City last time out, a 3-0 home defeat saw them blow the chance to jump into the top seven.

But they have already won at Eastbourne Borough, Hemel Hempstead and Dulwich Hamlet and are a threat on the road.

King’s Lynn Town vs Darlington - National League North

First vs second, both on 24 points and knowing a win could inflict some real damage.

It has the ingredients to be a classic at the Walks this weekend - so will this huge match live up to expectations?

Darlington were kicking themselves on Saturday, knowing they threw away the chance to head into this one top of the tree.

Ahead 2-0 at half-time at home to Brackley, they took the foot off the gas and a late own goal meant it was one point for Alun Armstrong and his side, not three.

Jordan Ponticelli and Lynn just love life at home right now.

Three wins in a row in the space of a few days came as Kettering and Ashington were dispatched with ease in the FA Cup. They were excellent in the league win over Chorley, too.

Ponticelli is looking to score for the fourth game running and put a little distance between the club at the chasers.

They are looking for their seventh home win already and the Quakers will have to be at their best to stop them making it eight.

It’s certainly a big weekend in both divisions!
