Unibet's National League North And South Preview

By Sam Elliott

New managers are the order of the day this weekend as quite a number go into battle for three points for the first time.

There’s a number of new faces in the dug-outs since the National League North and South games were last getting going.

It’s the time of the year when difficult decisions are made - so who will have the temperature turned up on them on Saturday?

Dulwich Hamlet vs Dartford - National League South

If interim Dulwich Hamlet manager Paul Barnes wants the job full-time, he can enhance his hand by beating one of the teams at the top.

The south east Londoners ended their losing league run against Cheshunt last time out but an FA Cup upset at home Folkestone Invicta was a big set-back.

But defeat Dartford, and the calls for Barnes to get the Champion Hill job will start to grow louder.

Alan Dowson’s team are finding their feet after a sticky start - four National League South wins in a row has catapulted the team into third place.

Brackley Town vs AFC Fylde - National League North

Things were very different for both these clubs when they last played a league game.

Long-serving Kevin Wilkin was still in charge of Brackley Town as they beat AFC Telford United.

James Rowe was on the touchline for AFC Fylde as they drew with Spennymoor Town, too.

Now it’s all change - and both the promotion hopefuls are looking to the future.

While we don’t know who will take the Coasters forward with interim manager Andy Taylor taking the team again, we do know what Brackley are planning.

Roger Johnson is Wilkin’s replacement and with the club always so strong at home under their old boss, the new man will want to show the fans what they can do under him at St James Park.

Fyde are undefeated in five away from home in all competitions, but how will they cope with the recent off-field drama?

It’s going to be another must-watch weekend!
