Unibet's National League North And South Preview

By Sam Elliott

With Saturday’s games of course postponed as a mark of respect and the FA Cup coming this weekend, Tuesday’s league fixtures take on extra significance.

There’s an almost full programme in both the National League North and National League South coming in midweek.

We’ve picked out the main games to keep an eye on - and predict who could be the game settlers!

Kidderminster Harriers vs AFC Fylde - National League North

Both these sides have put to one side their failure to earn promotion last season to make a solid start.

Kidderminster Harriers couldn’t quite make it over the line in an otherwise wonderful campaign while Fylde fell short in the play-offs too. Both look like they mean business this time.

Russ Penn’s team have won three from four and have left Blyth Spartans and Bradford PA with three points. Last time out they put four past Spennymoor and appear to be getting into their groove.

The Coasters had an iffy first few weeks with two defeats in four but now they’ve won three on the spin and James Rowe’s team are starting to show why they are so well tipped again.

Dulwich Hamlet vs Hemel Hempstead Town - National League South

Even after a difficult start, few people would have predicted Sunday night's sudden announcement.

Gavin Rose is leaving Dulwich Hamlet after 13 years - and life after the loved manager begins on Tuesday.

It’s not been the start anyone at Dulwich or Hemel Hempstead Town would have wanted.

Both sit in the early drop zone - and with four sides going down this term, there’s little time to waste even at this stage.

The two clubs have an identical record so far this season.

Just one win each with two draws and four defeats paints a picture of their slow start. It was one that left Hamlet in a tough spot.

The Tudors ended their four game run of defeats by draw at Weymouth last time out.

It’s way too early to even think about calling this a six pointer, but it’s fair to say either club could certainly do with getting three points on the board.
