Chippenham Town vs Maidstone United - National League South

When opportunity knocks, you’ve always got to be ready to answer in any title race.

With Dorking Wanderers not in action until Easter, Maidstone United could go into the long Bank Holiday weekend with a seven-point cushion.

Chippenham Town are going to have a big say in the destination of the championship, hosting the Stones on Saturday before playing second-place Dorking on Friday.

Maidstone are looking for their fifth win in a row but have lost two of their last three away from the Gallagher but Chippenham aren’t on the beach already - they’re just two points off the top seven and have promotion hopes themselves.

Brackley Town vs York City - National League North

The title race nobody can call is heading into the final straight.

Only a point separates Brackley and Gateshead but neither appear quite in the mood to put their foot down on the road to automatic promotion.

Those backing the Saints will point to their near perfect home record - winning their last seven at St James Park, last time defeating championship rivals Gateshead.

Six of their last ten home matches have been 1-0 wins and it is that type of steel and determination that has Kevin Wilkin full of confidence, even if they have dropped four points away from home in recent games.

Can York City do Gateshead - who this weekend host Chester - a big favour?

The Minstermen’s momentum has been interrupted by just one win in their last five. They were well under par at Kettering Town on Tuesday.

Heed fans hope the York who were so brilliant at AFC Fylde, Bradford PA and Blyth Spartans in February show up on Saturday.
