Gateshead vs AFC Fylde - National League North

Even in early February this appears to be a game the one time leaders AFC Fylde cannot afford to lose.

The Heed had a helping hand from Chester on Tuesday, and although Brackley Town pinched a late point it was enough to rob Mike Williamson’s men of top spot.

But Fylde know a ten point gap would be very demanding to close - and they have their work cut out this weekend.

Gateshead are sensational at home. They’ve won nine from ten in front of their fans while the Coasters have tasted success just once in four attempts on the road.

Dartford vs Welling United - National League South

Dartford fans are wondering if there’s another title twist left in the season.

Just a few months ago it would have taken a brave person to bet against Steve King’s team taking the championship.

But as they lost their way, Dorking Wanderers pick up the path to the top - and they are looking for win number 11 in a row on Saturday.

If the Darts can win this all-Kent affair after polishing off Ebbsfleet United on Tuesday then they will still believe.

That win took them back into third, but the gap is ten points and if they are to overhaul the relentless table toppers they can't afford many more slips up.

A third win on the spin would help, but Welling United have a point to prove.

In September, a 6-0 defeat at Park View Road sparked some soul searching and Peter Taylor was soon called for. He’s done a good job, but the Wings still aren’t safe - and there’s plenty to play for on Saturday.

It is sure to be another entertaining weekend!
