He called the last 45 performance 'nowhere near acceptable' and said his players now need to show real character and get the defeat out of their system.
But they must waiting until their next fixture, a Vanarama National League North game at home to Alfreton Town on October 21.
They don't play this weekend after already seeing their FA Cup campaign ended.
Morrell was upset with what he saw against Trinity and said: "It was way below what we expected - far below.
"We didn't win any first balls and just stopped playing. When we did get chances we were very wasteful.
"Usually you want to pick yourselves up straight away but with no FA Cup on Saturday we are playing a waiting game.
"We have a lot to digest. We showed in the first half what we can do but we showed after the break the bad side.
"There is a lot to think about. We have a break now and time to get thing right."
