Turgott Must Take Time Out After Stones' Injury Blow

Maidstone United have confirmed top scorer Blair Turgott will be out until 2019.

The striker has been ruled out for four to six weeks with knee cartilage damage.

It's not the news the National League club wanted ahead of their big FA Cup tie with Oldham Athletic on Saturday.

The damage was done during the first half of Tuesday’s game against Eastleigh.

Turgott is enjoying his best season yet with 11 league goals to his name before the half-way stage.

"We wish Blair well with his recovery and look forward to seeing him back on the pitch soon," the club said.

The Stones have registered youngsters Dylan Florence and James Taylor. Both players are available to take part in tomorrow’s game against Oldham Athletic.
