....promotion hopes by signing prolific marksman Matty Tubbs on loan from Sky Bet League Two side Portsmouth until the end of the season.
The striker had been the subject of interest from the Spitfires during the transfer window.
However, with the opening of today’s emergency loan window, a deal has now been struck to allow the 31-year-old to move to Silverlake Stadium.
Tubbs has scored 5 goals in seventeen appearances this season for Pompey, but hasn’t featured since the end of October, but is contracted to Fratton Park until the summer of 2017.
Tubbs had prolific spells with Dorchester Town, Salisbury City, where he scored 107 goals in 250 games and Crawley Town, where he notched 49 times in sixty-five games before joining AFC Bournemouth in 2012, moving along the south coast to Portsmouth in January 2015.
