Rees has been involved within the first-team for a few seasons, deputising for Nick Hutchings when needed, and has impressed with his displays in pre-season games.
Goalkeeping coach Robbie Yates says is convinced that with Rees as a strong understudy to Hutchings, Poole have unparalleled strength in the number one position. So, they have added another!
Hungarian keeper Dan Kovacs played in the second tier of both the Hungarian and Austrian professional leagues before moving to Dorset.
He has been training under Yates together with Rees and Hutchings for the past year.
After a successful few months with Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier side Bemerton Heath Harlequins last season, Kovacs is dual registered this season with near-neighbours and Harlequins` league rivals Bournemouth FC.
He will remain an integral part of the first-team structure at Poole, continuing to train with Hutchings and Rees.
