Trio Of Harriers Youngsters Earn First-Team Spurs

Kidderminster Harriers have confirmed that three of the club’s exciting youth team players have signed forms to be eligible for first-team duty.

Harriers have long been committed to providing opportunities and rewarding those who work hard on and off the pitch.

To that end, youngsters Tom Smith, Harry Stratford and Lewis Collier are all now available to the Harriers` first-team after management made the decision get them involved with the first team at some point in the future.

The trio are all just 16 but have already caught the eye with some impressive performances in the FA Youth Cup and under-18 team.

First-team manager John Eustace said: “It’s great for these young boys to be given this kind of opportunity and experience.

“The most important thing is for them to keep working hard with their teams and with their education but they’ve all made good starts and it’s nice to be able to reward that.

“Hopefully it sends out that message to all the other young lads we have that if they continue to do well then this kind of thing is available to them.”

Midfielder Stratford and wide man Smith both netted in the team’s FA Youth Cup win over Alvechurch last week, while Collier is an exciting striker.
