Town Trio Depart As Weaver Sets Sights On Big Season

Harrogate Town have announced player departures as Simon Weaver looks to strengthen for next season.

Defeat to AFC Fylde ended the club's National League season and now the club are making some changes.

Town announced Michael Woods, Dominic Knowles and Jordan Thewlis have all left the club today.

Manager Simon Weaver thanked the trio for their contribution to the club's recent success.

“He [Michael Woods] has been a fantastic player and person to have around and he will be missed," he said.

“Dom [Knowles] has had a huge impact on the club and there are certainly no doubts about his talent, but again injuries have been a source of frustration for him and the club.

“[Jordan Thewlis] was a great threat for us to have towards the end of the season and played a big part in our important win over Gateshead that got us over the line and into the play-offs."

Weaver added: “A big thank you to all three players departing for their contributions to the club, we would like to wish Dom, Jordan and Woodsy all the best for the future.”
