Despite both sides’ exceptional starts to the season, both come into the game looking to get back on track after 3-0 defeats at the weekend.
Town boss Simon Weaver told the club’s YouTube channel that he is looking for a response and said he was happy his side were playing Sam Ricketts' side after their defeat.
“We’re looking for a response from the players and we’re looking forward to Wrexham,” he said.
“We need to move on and we’re glad that our next game is a big one against a team like Wrexham. We have to be very upbeat.
“If you’d said we’d be playing Wrexham in the 13th game of the season with 25 points from 12, we’d have bitten your hand off.
“It’s strange for two teams in the top three but that’s the nature of the beast at this level. You have off days where everything goes for the opposition.
“Wrexham will be hurting and looking for their own response.”
It’s a situation that Weaver’s men haven’t been used to this season yet. Going against all the pre-season predictions - they’ve made the top end of the league their own after some huge results.
