Top Scorers: The Vanarama National League North

By Sam Elliott

We always try to keep you updated with our league’s top scorers, but with Christmas and New Year and what have you, it’s our first visit to the goal charts since 2017.

It feels like a whole year rather than just a few weeks so we last had a look!

Quite simply, the goals haven’t stopped. The goalscorers, they are a scorin! The last North tally just before the festive period showed Jon Parkin, the York City striker, on 11 goals.

Fast forward less than a month and he now has 20 in the National League North alone!

He isn’t alone. Stockport County’s Jason Oswell has added five since our last count up, with Salford City’s Jack Redshaw storming into contention for the Golden Boot having been on fire over the festive period.

Meanwhile, Brackley‘s Aaron Williams joins Darlington new boy Reece Styche and and Nuneaton ace Ashley Chambers on 15.
