Top Scorers: The Vanarama National League

By Sam Elliott

Last weekend was a big one for goals - they flew in during a thrilling Saturday in the Vanarama National League.

But how has that changed things in the scoring charts and the chase for the golden boot?

Well there’s been a lot of movement and things are still really tight.

Leyton Orient may be struggling but in Macauley Bonne they can rely. His two goals in the big win over Sutton moved him joint top. Ryan Bird was the word for Dover again - he joins to O’s man and Danny Rowe, who of course scored at Wigan in the FA Cup on Tuesday.

Watch out for Scott Wilson! His treble for Macclesfield against Wrexham took him just behind the leading pack and he now has ten league goals to his name.

There’s a long way to go of course and a lot like the title race, it’s too close to call!
