Top 10 Weekend Attendances In The National League

By Sam Elliott

The big chill certainly didn’t put the punters off this weekend - the crowds still came so here’s the top ten attendances across the National League divisions.

Most of the National League North was wiped out but the two games that survived the snow easily made it into the list.

Stockport County’s support weren’t put off by the weather as Jason Oswell’s treble against Spennymoor warmed the hands of nearly 3,500.

Leyton Orient fans fed up of their team’s cold snap which has gone on since September are happy again - over 4,000 watch their game with Sutton.

But Tranmere Rovers pulled in the most as 4,569 saw two late Andy Cook goals get the better of Torquay United.

The biggest crowd recorded in the National League South was the 658 who attended Bath City v Bognor Regis - but that wasn’t enough to make it into the top ten crowds of the weekend.

Tranmere Rovers v Torquay 4,569

Leyton Orient v Sutton United 4,180

Stockport County v Spennymoor 3,379

Macclesfield v Wrexham 2,402
