The former Glassboys captain is the third Stourbridge player to sign for Moors during the close season and he joins Chris Lait and Luke Benbow in the squad for the club`s second season in the top echelon of non-League football.
He also teams up again with former team-mate Kristian Green, who moved to Solihull at the half way stage last season.
Tonks started his career with Brocton and then Tipton Town in the Midland League before enjoying two seasons at Halesowen Town as the Yeltz won promotion and then secured a comfortable mid-table position in their first season back in the Northern Premier League. He won the chairman`s player of the year award for 2014/15.
He originally joined Stourbridge from Halesowen in June 2015, but a move on to National League North outfit AFC Telford United in December did not work out and he returned to the Glassboys March 2016.
Tonks was captain as Stourbridge had their wonderful run in the Emirates FA Cup last season. However, he also achieved notoriety in the First Qualifying Round of that competition when he scored a 55-yard `Beckhamesque` stunner from just inside the half-way line which went viral on social media.
Known also for his exceptionally long throws, Tonks made forty appearances for Stourbridge last season.
Born in Walsall in 1991, he is a lifelong Wolves fan.
