Tonight's Game Not A Six Pointer Says McDonald

By David Richardson

Solihull Moors manager Liam McDonald has stressed that tonight's game at home to Chester is not a six pointer after both sides have struggled in the early stages of the Vanarama National League season.

Moors were beaten 1-0 at Aldershot Town on Saturday - watch match highlights here - which left them with just four points from their first seven games.

Chester's late draw at bottom of the league Torquay United means they stayed two places above tonight's opponents.

Both managers have had to deal with a number of injury problems and the early standings of the two sides has prompted some people to think of this match as a six pointer. However, boss McDonald isn't convinced.

"It's not a six pointer, there's loads of points to play for," he said. "I think it is a winnable game at home. The lads are excited to play in it and one we want to make sure we put in a good performance.

"If we do that then I'm sure we'll get a positive result from it. We look forward to it, if we can get that win it can start a run for us.

"We have got lads to come back that will strengthen the side and that's the important thing. we need to keep our heads up, get some more players back There's light at the end of the tunnel, there's positives."
