The Spitfires have endured a frustrating campaign so far but have seen an upturn in results since Andy Hessenthaler’s appointment as manager.
Hessenthaler has overseen two wins and two draws and despite their disappointing season overall, Eastleigh are only ten points adrift of the top seven.
Whilst they may still be down in 15th, Togwell believes there is enough in the squad to go on a run and force themselves into the promotion picture.
“The group of players we’ve got – the experience, and the quality we have in the changing room – there’s no reason we can’t be looking up and at the play-offs,” Togwell told the club’s website.
“For us to reach the play-offs, we are going to need a bit of luck, and to start consistently winning games though.
“We’ve drawn 13 games this season. That means we’ve dropped 26 potential points, and if you add that to where we are now, we wouldn’t be far from those positions.
“Although we can’t change that now, all we can do is try and start winning as many games as possible between now and the end of the season, and see where that takes us.”
