TNT Sports Add Another Live Game To The New Year Bill

By Sam Elliott

TNT Sports have delivered an early Christmas present - an extra live National League game in the New Year.

The broadcaster has already announced their selections for the start of 2024, and January will now see four matches pumped into living rooms. Now for the first time this season, we’ll see Matt Smith and the team on a Sunday.

Boreham Wood’s home fixture with York City will be given the full TNT treatment on January 7, kick-off 2pm.

It is a first visit to Meadow Park this season and with both teams currently hovering just above the drop zone, there could be a lot riding on it.

Before that, there’s plenty of big games coming your way. This Saturday, Gateshead face FC Halifax Town and both sides have play-off ambition - with one just inside the promotion places, and the other just outside.

The build up to Christmas begins with a belter at Bromley as Altrincham visit on December 23, these two are in the thick of it at the top and want to close out the year in style.

Boxing Day brings Barnet to Southend United for a 3pm kick-off, the game is live with both clubs sensing big things in 2024. The New Year is off to a flyer with leaders Chesterfield hosting Solihull Moors on January 1, before Boreham Wood and York City get some air time six days later.

On January 20, two of the current top three collide with Barnet at home to Paul Cook’s Spireites - it’s too early to call but could this one have a big impact on the destination of the title?

The month ends with a local affair and there will be no love lost when Altrincham host Rochdale on Tuesday January 23.

Saturday December 16 - Gateshead vs FC Halifax (12.30pm)
Saturday December 23 - Bromley vs Altrincham (5.30pm)
