Tiger Mike Eyes An Escape As City Finally Grab Three Points

Mike Cook doesn’t believe Gloucester City won’t have any issues winning their fight against relegation if his players build on his fantastic first few weeks in charge.

The Tigers finally ended their terrible winless run with victory at Oxford City last weekend.

They hadn’t toasted three points since their game with Hungerford Town back on September 1.

Marc Richards and Chris Todd have departed since then but things are already looking a lot brighter under their new manager.

“I’m just so pleased for everyone,” Cook told the club’s facebook page as he prepares for in-form Bath City this weekend.

“In training the players have taken on board everything that we have been saying and they have taken it out there with them.

“As you could imagine the atmosphere is fantastic after getting our first win in quite a long while.

“It was never going to be easy against a good Oxford City side but we did it with some exceptional performances from some young players.

“If the lads keep doing what they have been doing so far, learning and listening like they are, then we won’t have a problem.”
