Thrillers A Plenty With Three Leaders On One Great Day!

It was entertainment all round on Saturday will some brilliant matches - and a constantly changing first place!

Forest Green went top for a few hours after becoming the first club to leave Gateshead undefeated. In fact they won it 2-0, Liam Sercombe and Cristian Doidge on target.

They almost stayed there but for Barnet's very late third goal at rivals Wealdstone, the Bees taking top spot on goals scored after a super second half showing.

This morning's leaders York City couldn’t find a way through at Aldershot Town, their 0-0 draw not enough to keep them out in front.

The goals really flowed elsewhere. Paul McCallum scored twice as Eastleigh defeated Rochdale 4-2.

Gus Scott-Morriss, pictured, scored yet again as the right-back shone in Southend United’s much needed 4-2 with at Solihull Moors.

Ashley Nadesan made sure Ebbsfleet United’s brave comeback at Sutton United counted for nothing. The host won 3-2 in a thriller.

Boston United produced a brave comeback, a man down they saw Altrincham race into a 2-0 lead. But the Pilgrims have spirit and Cameron Green struck to earn a big away point.

Oldham Athletic have still only lost once. Mike Fondop-Talom scored an 81st minute winner to sink Yeovil Town.

Dagenham’s season is picking up pace. Josh Umerah fired in an early winner at inconsistent Hartlepool United, and they sit just outside the top seven.

Midfielder Tom Tonks was the Tamworth hero very late on at Braintree after his fluky winner, as AFC Fylde had to settle for a home draw with Woking.

FC Halifax were thankful to Florent Hoti - he grabbed all three points to make it a happy trip back from Maidenhead United, who remain second bottom.

Scunthorpe United suffered their first National League North defeat of the season.

Dom Tear scored the winner as Scarborough Athletic gave their promotion push a big lift.

Chester are up to second. Charlie Caton’s goal turned things around at Rushall Olympic while Gaz Dean got the winner for Brackley at home to Marine.

Will McGowan’s double was delightful for Darlington in their 3-0 win over Southport.

Anthony Lynn's second half winner did the damage for Leamington at Farsley while Alfreton Town left Kidderminster Harriers with three huge points.

It was also a good day for Oxford City, who defeated Needham Market 3-0 to claim their first victory.

Sam Hodgson was the South Shields hero - his late, late goal earned a 3-3 draw with Chorley in a fantastic game in the North East.

It was some Boreham Wood homecoming for Luke Garrard on an exciting National League South afternoon.

He saw six different players score in the 6-0 win over well beaten Welling United, marking his return in front of the fans in fitting style.

There was the same amount of goals as leaders Hemel Hempstead drew 3-3 with Farnborough, who had Richard Chin at the double.

Two strong starters drew 1-1 with honours even between Eastbourne Borough and Slough Town.

Chelmsford City keep on improving. Charlie Ruff helped down Hornchurch as Enfield Town left Bath City with a huge three points.

A very late Joe Grant goal grabbed a point for Chesham at Maidstone United.

Josh Hedges’ goal was the difference as Salisbury beat Chippenham 3-2. Tyler Harvey got another goal as Truro City left Aveley winners.

It ended 1-1 in the games between Torquay United and St Albans City, Weston and Dorking and Weymouth and Worthing.
