Thrill Of The Chill! Big Results Warm Up A Cold Tuesday

It was an exciting night of league and cup action with some big results warming up a cold evening.

On fire Kidderminster Harriers sent out a warning to the rest in the National League North after sweeping aside South Shields.

Amari Morgan-Smith got the ball rolling before Temi Obadeyi, Joe Foulkes and Ashley Hemmings added the finishing touches.

Buxton couldn’t join Phil Brown’s side in going a point behind leaders Chorley. They went down 2-0 at home to Brackley Town with Connor Hall and Matt Lowe on target in the second half.

Stefan Mols’ penalty and a David Worrall goal gave Curzon Ashton maximum reward at Marine.

Kaine Felix and Michael Gyasi have starred for Peterborough Sports in recent weeks and they both scored at Darlington but it wasn’t enough for all three points. Toby Lees snatched a late leveller as it ended 2-2.

There were big points earned in the National League South too.

Boreham Wood got the better of Truro City, Charlie Clayden score just after half-time.

Charlie Seaman thought he had helped push Maidstone United further towards the play-offs. They extending their great unbeaten run at Torquay United but couldn’t hold on for the win, Jay Foulston levelled up four minutes from time.

Slough Town are superb at home and Scott Davies’ side beat Dorking Wanderers 3-2.

It was disappointment for one of our sides in the National League Cup but another is up and running.

FC Halifax Town were soundly beaten 4-1 at home by Middlesbrough but Wealdstone beat Southampton - Elliot Thorpe made it safe for the Stones as they build more momentum.
