Things Finally Looking Up For Improving Boro

Nuneaton Town made it back-to-back wins for the first time this season but boss Dino Maamria was left wanting more!

Boro picked up a crucial 1-0 win at fellow strugglers Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday to move up to 15th in the National League North table.

The victory followed three points against high-flying Harrogate Town and Nuneaton are finally starting to look up.

Maamria thought his side deserved the three points at Gainsborough but said that another goal or two would have made it even sweeter!

He told the Coventry Telegraph: “It was great to get a win, to get another three points and to make it back-to-back wins for the first time this season. For me, that was all deserved.

“If I was going to say anything negative I would say that 1-0 was not enough. We dominated that game from the start and we could have easily won it four, five or six. That was how good we were.

“But if the only negative you have is that you could have won by more goals, you know it was a good day.

“We showed character to deal with any threats they threw at us late on, but we kept going forward and I thought we were sure to grab another goal at some point.”
