These Lions Still Have Heart Insists Joint Boss Bignot

They sit just one place outside the relegation and are bang out of form but Guiseley joint boss Marcus Bignot has “no doubt” his team will stay up.

His team haven’t won in 12 and last tasted victory back on New Year’s Day.

To make matters worse, even when they do manage to get home games on they’ve not been able to take advantage. It’s over six months since fans at Nethermoor last saw them pick up three points.

The Lions were one of 12 National League North clubs to lose their matches as the rain hit this weekend.

Bignot isn’t losing heart and the co-manager thinks Guiseley can - and will - avoid a second successive relegation.

He told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “We have no doubt about this group; they are all in it together. Whether it is the starting 11 on the pitch or in the stands.

“We have all got our common cause and the motivation is to make sure that we are a National League North club at the end of the season.

“I have no doubt that we will manage to do that.”
